I have one that the drum that holds the hammers is 15 inches wide. I use a 85 horse flathead v8 for the power unit. Does a pretty good job. I think that size mill would be fine with a 35 HP tractor. I run a 3/4 inch screen and have ground , sorghum, cobs, hay but mostly ear .
